Within the club there are three
bars (2 downstairs & 1 upstairs) serving Fosters, Carlsberg,
Kronenbourg 1664, Stella Artois, John Smiths, Websters, Courage Best, Guinness &
Strongbow lagers/bitters/ciders plus a wide range of spirits & soft
drinks. The upstairs bar has a balcony that
overlooks the river Thames. Situated downstairs are the main hall and the games room. The main hall has the largest bar, a dance floor,
small stage area & large screen TV (with cable channels), this is where the
entertainment is usually held. Within the downstairs games room there is a
bar, pool table, 3 dartboards, 2 fruit machines & a CD jukebox. As well as the
bar upstairs there is also a pool room (1 pool table only).
The club is open to members &
C.I.U. cardholders (& their guests) only, 7 days a week. For
membership details contact the club secretary.
Monday to Saturday 11.00am - 2.30pm/7.00pm - 11.00pm & Sundays 12.00pm -
3.00pm/7.00pm - 10.30pm
Children under 14 years of age are not permitted in the upstairs bar and no
children under the age of 10 years are permitted entry to the club on Saturday
evenings.
The following is what is generally
on offer at the club any day of the week (activities not guaranteed).
Midweek evenings normally have darts teams playing in the games room and live
football on the large screen TV in the main hall.
The Staines Ex also runs a weekly 'Bonus Ball Bonanza', where if you select the
bonus ball in the Saturday evening National Lottery draw you can win £40.
There is an annual trip to the Glorious Goodwood race meeting (normally
Ladies Day). The club also occasionally organizes
trips such as weekend trips to the Isle of Wight.

The Staines Ex-Servicemen's Club is
situated in Laleham Road Staines. It is close to both Staines bus and rail
stations.
It is a 5-10 minute walk from the bus station, just walk towards the Thames Lodge
hotel, then follow Laleham Road under the railway bridge and you will find the
club approximately 100 yards down on the right (opposite the launderette).
It is also just 5-10 minutes from Staines rail station, just exit the station from
the Reading/Windsor bound platform and turn right (past Jewsons), follow
Gresham Road until the end and the club is across the road in front of you.
The club is also just a short drive from the M25/M3/M4 and the A30 follow the
link to a map.
